I am an experienced investigator law enforcement professional, how do I apply for recognition of prior learning to obtain the Certificate III in Investigative Services qualification?

You can of course choose both packages (and we recommend it). The second package will provide you substantial credits towards your certificate IV in investigative services.

What training materials and training aids will I use?

When you enrol in your open-learning certificate III in investigative services course we will send you all the training materials you need to complete the course. These include ...

1. Manuals: Nationally Recognised Learner’s Kit packed with must know information, learning activities and projects which will keep you enthralled and enthusiastically involved in your project.
2. Practical Session (288 hours) 
3. E-mail Support: Your instructor is always available through E-mail support. 
4. Telephone Support: You may call 02-63355216 between 7pm and 8pm on Monday, Wednesday, Friday each week.

How will you assess me?

1. Workbook Written Assignments
2. Practical assessment activity
3. Analysis of six investigations conducted by you (you can claim credits for the investigations conducted by you during the Certificate II in investigative services)

How long will it take me to complete the certificate III in investigative services course?

If you select all the electives you should be able to complete the certificate III in investigative services course in 424 study hours . This includes 288 hours practical assignments . You can complete the practical components in your own workplace under the supervision of a qualified person appointed by your employer. In such cases, Safecity will liaise with the supervisor to make sure you receive all the support you need, and to ensure your practical work is on track.

If you only select the competencies to achieve qualification you should be able to complete the course in 200 hours.

Remember that as an open-learning distance education student your are in charge on how long the course last . When you have lodged and successfully completed the assignment activities (achieved competency) you will receive your nationally recognised certificate III in investigative services certificate.

Safecity's Open Learning Services does not have time limits.

Most of our students complete this program in six weeks. However, there are quite a few students who completed the course in four weeks.

What is the cost of the certificate III in investigative services course?

A$1950 If you select only one set of specialist competencies required for qualification.

A$2950 If you select all the specialist competencies required for qualification (recommended).

The cost is all inclusive. Nationally recognised certificates are awarded at the completion of the course and delivered to you by registered mail .

Who recognises the certificate III in investigative services?

This course is recognised nationally in Australia under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
