Since the release of the national training package for security, Australian Federal and State Governments, Educational bodies and Employers require formal qualifications in security training as a prerequisite for employment .  Additionally, these formal qualifications are now a prerequisite for obtaining a security licence.

The new security training package was developed to be customized to meet your needs in the workplace and to be flexible enough to provide you with the training you need when you need it!

These security courses are truly International , with the exception of the Occupational Health and Safety and statute laws which vary from state to state and country to country.

Each security course has a set of recommended hours which you need to study in order to successfully complete the program.  

We have listed all the security courses we conduct, but not all of them are available on-line yet. If the courses are not available on line you will not be able to open the folder.

If you are an experienced security or law enforcement professional seeking recognition of your experience and qualification we can offer you recognition of prior learning. This process is available through our open-learning services for all the courses starting from the Certificate III in Security (Guarding) to the Advanced Diploma Level.

You will find details of the recognition of prior learning process in each folder. You will also find a self-assessment activity which will help you determine whether you meet the requirements for the qualifications you have selected.

* The Certificate II and III in Security are available only to licensed security officers, police and law enforcement agents. We believe that persons entering the industry benefit from face to face training and extensive role plays involving important tactical and workplace related issues . We know, by experience, that classroom work also helps the students improve their communication skills, raise self-esteem and develop a team spirit. These qualities are difficult to develop and assess in a home study environment. We know there are some training organisations who disagree with us and conduct these programs on a mass scale. You will need to make your choice based on your own professional needs.

*Certificate II, III and IV Technical Access Courses require extensive practical hands-on face-to-face training in the workplace and workshop settings. However, you will be able to complete some units by distance education. Tradesmen and other experienced installers requiring RPL will be able to lodge their applications on line. However all RPL candidates will be required to attend a practical competency assessment.
